General information: Vitamin B complex injection is a sterile solution for intramuscular or slow intravenous injection composed of vitamins that can be classified as belonging to the vitamin B complex group.

Indications : In disorders requiring parenteral administration of vitamins, that is, pre- and postoperative treatment, when requirements increase as in fever, severe burns, increased metabolism, pregnancy, gastrointestinal disorders that interfere with the intake or absorption of vitamins, diseases prolonged or debilitating, alcoholism and where other deficiencies exist. Contraindications: Sensitivity to the listed ingredients.

Warnings: Anaphylactogenesis may occur with parenteral thiamine. Use with caution. An intradermal test dose is recommended before administration in patients suspected of being sensitive to the drug. Precautions: The usual precautions for parenteral administration should be observed. Do not inject if precipitation occurs. Inject slowly intravenously. High concentrations should be diluted with normal saline injection when administered intravenously.

Adverse reactions : mild transient diarrhea, polycythemia vera, peripheral vascular thrombosis, transient rash itching, bloating sensation. Sensitivity to the listed ingredients may occur.
Use should be discontinued upon observing any adverse reaction. Pain may be noted with intramuscular injection. Dosage and administration: usually 0.25 to 2 ml by intramuscular or slow intravenous injection. High concentrations administered intravenously can be diluted using parenteral infusion solutions.

Parenteral drug products should be visually inspected for particulate matter and discoloration prior to administration, whenever the solution and container permit. Method of supply: Vitamin B complex injection is available in a 30 ml multi-dose vial. Darkening of the solution may occur over time. Color does not affect the safety or effectiveness of the product.

Storage: Store this medication in a refrigerator at 36°F to 46°F (2°C to 8°C). Keep all medicines out of the reach of children. Throw away any unused medication after the expiration date. Do not throw away unused medications or pour them down a sink or drain.
